“ We had the best time! Service was so friendly and attentive. One of my favorite places to visit in Detroit. Karaoke, good vibes, staff that actually gives a shit about you. Yes please. Lamont, Jay and Bella did a great job! You can see the teamwork and care for they take for their patrons. ”
“ We had salads and the Genovese pizza The individual sized salads were both huge and delicious. The pizza is a thick crust square pizza with a very basil-rich sauce. Each piece of pizza had a healthy portion of ricotta on it. It was so filling we took three large pieces home. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is decorated with interesting sports memorabilia, such as baseball mitts thrown from the stands at umpires during Tigers games. I definitely recommend giving Shield's a try. ”

Our Beautiful server, Bella was so kind and attentive and had a beautiful smile the entire evening! It was clear that Jason, the GM, exemplifies outstanding leadership, people, and communication skills—qualities we also saw reflected in our server, Bella. Great leadership always flows from the top down, and a leader is only as strong as their team. On top of that, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was clean and bright. “ Need some deep-dish Detroit-style pizza while in Detroit? Can't speak for any others, but Shield's does a respectable pie, and they had a few draft beers available, too, along with their full bar. Everything was more reasonable than expected, bill-wise. Everybody was full of effort, beyond eager to serve, and appreciative of the business. Vibe was fine. A mix of a pizza parlor and a bar, and in some old bank building or something? ”

Thank you to Jason and his entire staff for serving my large party that started at 25 and ended at 35 but Jason was so accommodating and he put two of his best servers on our party Bella and another young lady..her name escapes me but they were wonderful and so patient, quick and helpful! Jason allowed my family to celebrate and enjoy ourselves, he truly gave us access to the entire restaurant..it was a great night! The food and drinks came out hot and on time, and he even made sure we had more food when we ran out..everything went smoothly..we had a nice size bill and he was patient and waited to the end of our party to hand it to me..very professional and kind! I truly appreciate you Jason! Thank you so much my family had a great time, we will be back! Jason and the staff answered all our questions and requests with no hesitation!
